Story Behind the Bag: 

During my last job here in LA, I was part of the company’s denim team. My senior designer—before joining the company—had launched a highly successful premium denim brand with her husband. They had a surplus of denim stored at their home in Altadena, and she generously offered it to me. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity.

As a thank-you for the denim, I designed and made the very first “Buckey Bag” as a gift for her. Tragically, just a few weeks after I gave it to her, their home was destroyed in the Eaton Fires. Witnessing her remain so strong and composed through such an unimaginable loss was deeply inspiring.

This bag pays homage to her—for believing in me, for her generosity, and for teaching me what true strength looks like in the face of adversity.
